Village Automotive in Spring TX
is located on Kuykendahl where Spring meets the new Creekside Village of The Woodlands. The owners Christy and Tony Moore are Woodlands residents and their goal is to serve the local community. They do this bringing a quality and excellence that is rarely seen in the automotive industry. Tony has been in the automotive industry for over 15 years and they have been in this location for a little over 2 years.
They are a full service automotive shop. They do Inspections, oil changes, engine over hauls, transmission fluid exchange etc. Basically they do everything but body work. Village Automotive has a team of certified technicians who have the knowledge, technical skill and experience
to keep your vehicle running. Their technicians can work on import and domestic vehicles, including cars and light trucks. They have worked on everything from Chevrolets and Hyundai’s to Lamborghini’s and Rolls Royce’s.
They also can provide service for extended warranties. I had always thought when you bought an extended wa
rranty you had to go through the dealer but that is not the case.
Here in this northern area of Spring we have not had many amenities so we were thrilled to see Village Automotive open. One of the automotive services that I have enjoyed is their free customer shuttle. I can drop my car off for an oil change or state inspection and they will bring me back to my home office. When my car is finished they give me a call and pick me back up. What a time saver that has been for me. No longer do I have to sit in sterile waiting rooms waiting for my car to be ready. Although if you have noticed the pictures that I have posted; their waiting room is far from sterile.
Christy runs a faux painting business from an office upstairs and she had a hand in creating this beautiful office. It is unlike any automotive shop I have ever seen. Howmany automotive shops have granite countertops; not to mention the lush powder room? To see more of Christy’s work visit her website at www.wishimay.com.
My husband being an aircraft mechanic is picky about who maintains our vehicles and he has been pleased with Village Automotive. If your car needs service we highly recommend Village Automotive in Spring TX. You can check their website out at www.village-automotive.com.

I often get request asking to be set up for home searches for subdivisions that do not have homeowner’s associations. Since we don’t have zoning in the Houston area when there is not a Home Owners Association there is usually also no deed restrictions. With no deed restrictions you tend to get a little bit of everything. I took some pictures in a subdivision in Spring that has no deed restrictions. I have always called the subdivision the Vegetable Patch as the streets are named such things as Carrot, Turnip and Tomato. The actual name of the subdivision is Farmette Meadows.
I took these pictures on Carrot street and as you drive along the street you might see cars on Cinder blocks, trailers in front of house, businesses etc. If you are going to open a business this is the perfect place for you. If you are looking for a subdivision where you want similar types of property this might not be the best place.
I lived in 3 states prior to moving here and almost fell off my chair when I was in real estate school and learned that Houston DID NOT HAVE ZONING!! With no zoning you are really dependent upon home owners associations and deed restrictions to maintain your property values. When you don’t have an HOA this is an example of what you get.
unresticted area. When he bought the house a nice house was next door. Shortly after they moved in the nice house next door was sold and the new owner decided to open a junk yard. Like I said earlier if you have a business a subdivision with no zoning might be the place you want to be but if not this is probably not be where you want to be.

If you want a reasonably priced Victorian home look no farther. There are a lot of Victorian homes in the middle section of Willow Forest. These homes were built in the 1980′s. The homes in this section go as small as 1000 square feet and there are a few small two bedroom homes interspersed through this middle section of Willow Forest.

We have lived in the Spring Texas area for 11 years and have LOVED IT. I have to be honest we had reservations about moving here. My husband’s job transferred us out of Denver and Houston was one of our options but we wanted no part of Houston. In our mind it was a big dirty city with lots of oil refineries. Instead we went to North Carolina which is a beautiful state but far away from all our friends and family who were in Kansas, Colorado and Texas. 2 ½ years later we were transferred again. This time we bit the dust and came to the Houston area and we have LOVED it here! We live in the Northwest Houston area in Spring but very close to Tomball, The Woodlands and Magnolia.
largest cities in the United States the communities still have a sense of a small community. I go to the grocery store, post office, the mall and see people that I know from my area and everyone is so friendly. I think friendly and Texas just goes hand in hand. It is nothing for people to wave as they go by. I have a friend that just moved here and she said to begin with she kept looking over her shoulder to see who they were waving at.
I heard a radio commentator once say we have two seasons here summer and January. That is really not far from the truth. I have to admit it gets a little steamy here in the summer time but air conditioning is a way of life here. Personally I find that I can stay cool easier in the summer time than I used to try and stay warm up north in the winter. We rarely have a day over 100 degrees but it does almost become a broken record in July and August of 95 degrees, 95 degrees, 95 degrees and we do have fairly high humidity. The good news on that is that it keeps our skin soft.
